How an Ex-VC exited his innovation media startup with Matt C Smith (#18)
Monday Jul 26, 2021
Monday Jul 26, 2021
Matt C Smith has been around the block a few times in the startup world. He's an ex-VC whose first investment became a unicorn, he's helped many startups scale in his role as COO & CFO & he exited his own "Innovation Infotainment" media startup after two short years.
I call him a pioneer in this podcast and I think he really is. Making that switch towards mobile-first video-based content during the early days was probably one of the smartest moves Matt made - helping him to catapult "The Lunicorn" to where it is today.
We go in-depth about Matt's whole journey from working as an investment analyst at Condé Nast's corporate Venture arm, helping multiple startups scale after investment, supporting an angel investors accelerator, and finally setting up & exiting his video media company "The Lunicorn".
Matt shares plenty of advice for up-and-coming entrepreneurs as well - throughout this entire 1h podcast.
So enjoy!
